Tidewatch Keep
★★★★★ 4.5
Tidewatch Keep asks you to build up a stone fort on a shrinking strip of coast. Between raids you place walls, farms and workshops; when the tide and the raiders come in, you shuffle your defenders around the map. It's tense in a quiet, thoughtful way rather than a frantic one.
What sold me is the pacing. You're never punished for stepping away — the game pauses politely and waits. That makes it ideal for commutes, and because it's fully offline you can dig into a long defensive turn without worrying about your connection dropping mid-battle.
What we liked
- Pauses cleanly whenever you leave
- No timers tied to real-world clocks
- Strategy that grows genuinely deep
